Blackfalds, AB –Effective October 15, 2024, the Blackfalds Fire Department will require Fire Safety Plans for construction, renovation and/or demolition sites with a cost of $5,000 or greater, meant to specifically address fire emergencies. This update follows the National Fire Code for Alberta which came into effect in April of 2020. A $125.00 fee will now be charged for Fire Safety Plans, and will require review and approval.
